Wabi Sabi Vase, 1969

Hand-built ceramic vessel with sculptural, coiled construction and an organic silhouette. The layered horizontal ridges and richly textured surface are finished in a variegated earthy brown and black glaze, creating a beautifully weathered finish.

An inscription on the underside notes that it received a Student Top Award at the Rochester Institute of Technology in 1969, adding a unique history to this one-of-a-kind vase.
